Pluralsight doubles library in 2012 – Now 400 courses!

2012 was an amazing year at Pluralsight – we doubled the size of our online training library for professional developers to 400 courses!

Growth

Although we’ve doubled our library for several years in a row now, we want to give it one more shot in 2013. Yes, you heard that right. We want to double it again!

It’s an aggressive goal but we’d like to see at least 400 new courses hit our library before the end of 2013. Doing so will provide more value to our customers, and more breadth and depth in our library coverage.

We will continue to invest in our current topic areas but we also plan to invest in many new areas including but not limited to: Javascript (and the many new .js libraries), Java, C++, PHP, Python, Ruby, iOS, Android, Salesforce and Force.com, Amazon Web Services, Google App Engine, Windows Azure, Windows 8, SQL and NoSQL databases, Big Data, UX design, SEO, Security, social platforms, software design and practices, and much more.

As we work to increase our production rate, we will not sacrifice quality. In fact, we’re working hard to improve the quality of our titles by embracing what we now find to be most effective. We’re always bringing on great new authors – experts in their fields – who will add tremendous value to the future of our library.

2013 promises to be an even better year for Pluralsight customers. It will be a year of tremendous growth for online education, and Pluralsight is committed to providing the best online resource for today’s serious, hardcore developers.

  1. Thanks! Awesome. Just one thing, while you are doing that, please include Close Captions. Sometimes its hard to understand what authors are saying, especially if they have slight accent.

    • We are including Close Captions on many of our courses! Look for the CC icon next to the course when viewing in our HTML 5 player. You are also able to view the entire transcript of the course by clicking the Transcript Tab on any course with the CC icon.

  3. Doubling your library again is great. I feel that your developer tracks have a lot more to offer then just expanding the library. Also, with sites like code academy and several others some type of interactive area would be great.
