In today’s episode from our Meet the Author podcasts, Fritz Onion talks to Richard Seroter about his course AWS Developer Fundamentals.  In the interview Richard describes why a .NET developer might choose Amazon Web Services over Windows Azure and how the two can compliment each other.  He also describes the various services available and the different styles of accessing those services both now and in the future.

[Fritz]  Hi. This is Fritz Onion, and today I’m here speaking with Richard Seroter to talk about his new course, Amazon Web Services Developer Fundamentals. Richard is a principal solutions architect for an industry leading biotechnology company. He’s a Microsoft MVP for BizTalk Server and a Microsoft Connected technology advisor. Richard is the author of the recently released book, Applied Architecture Patterns on the Microsoft Platform, which discusses where to use which part of Microsoft’s platform technologies. He’s also the author of a book SOA Patterns for BizTalk Server 2009, which takes a look at how to apply good SOA principles to a wide variety of BizTalk scenarios, and Richard is the author of four courses now at Pluralsight including Solution Modeling with UML in Visual Studio, Microsoft Streaminsight Fundamentals, Integrating BizTalk Server with Windows Azure AppFabric, and his most recent, Amazon Web Services Developer Fundamentals.
