Update: We're packing our bags yet again for VMworld 2015, but this time it's the Euro edition—complete with tapas, sangria, beaches and Gaudi. Any guesses where we’re headed?

If you guessed Espana, you’re right! Meet us in Barcelona, Spain, October 12-15th. Here’s what to watch out for:

  • Great sessions hosted by our authors, such as Scott Lowe, Chris Wahl and Jason Nash. (If you're lucky, you might even get to see some other familiar faces floating around the conference.)
  • Hall Crawl: Stop by booth E426 to score special edition vNerd socks and meet and greet with author Alastair Cooke during the Hall Crawl on October 13th.
  •  vBrownBag TechTalks: Can’t get enough Alastair? He's also running the vBrownBag TechTalks in the hang space on the 13th and 15th.

Let's get ready to vNerd it out. See you there!

vNerds from across the globe are traveling to San Francisco, California at the end of the month to talk all things VMware, and we’re excited to get in on the action yet again. In addition to the amazing sessions, parties and networking opportunities you’re filling your schedule with, we’ve got a few of our own VMworld 2015 happenings we’d like you to know about. And in case you’re a VMworld newbie, here are a few additional tips to get you started.

Stop by booth #2435

We’d love to meet you and hook you up with one of our infamous vNerd t-shirts. They’ve become somewhat of a collector’s item, so be sure to swing by early before they run out. If you’re lucky, you might even catch one of our authors hanging around.

Rub elbows with our authors

Speaking of authors, check out who’s coming! We’re lucky to have several virtualization experts author courses for us. A few of them will join us at VMworld as speakers and attendees. Keep your eye out for:

And catch sessions by:

Join us for the vNerd Word

We’re expecting some big news to come out of VMworld’s opening keynote this year so we’ve enlisted David Davis to break it down for us. Monday, August 31 at 1 p.m. PT, we’ll be on Periscope live streaming as David answers your questions. We'll be talking about VMworld, the VCP6 certification and David and Greg Shields' new vSphere 6 training. Join the conversation at our booth or pop onto Periscope to catch the live action wherever you are. vNerd shirts are up for grabs.

Win a Nespresso machine and 1-year Pluralsight subscription

vNerd shirts are all the rage and we want to see you rocking them out at VMworld 2015. Snap a pic wearing your new 2015 vNerd tee, or one you’ve scooped up in years past, and share it on Twitter or Instagram using #vNerd. Not only will you be looking dapper, you’ll also be entered to win a Nespresso machine and annual subscription. Win-win!

Party with us at VMunderground

We’re excited to be sponsoring this year’s “Software-defined Warm-up Party as a service,” also known as VMunderground. Let loose and mingle with the who’s-whos of the virtualization community on Sunday, August 30 from 8-11 p.m. at the City View Metreon.

We’ve got a great week coming in San Fran and we can’t wait to see you there, vNerds.
