VMworld 2015 is off to a rocking start with the air buzzing with talks of vSphere Integrated Containers, the Photon Platform and hyperconvergence. We caught up with David Davis -- author of several of our VMware courses including his new vSphere 6 Foundations series -- after the keynote to talk about the latest news and updates from the conference.

When he wasn't debating Windows 10 and Macs with followers on Twitter or showing off our latest vNerd t-shirts, David went over the VCP and VCA certifications and how you can prepare for the exams (Hint: use this learning path from David and Greg Shields!). Watch the Periscope recording of our chat with David below.

David wasn't the only one excited to join us on Periscope this week. We also met up with Pluralsight author and IT ops curriculum director, Don Jones, who talked to us about the emerging DevOps trend. He says, "If you want to be the top paid guy or gal in your IT ops shop, you've got to be writing a little bit of code and you need that code to configure your infrastructure. That's how we all move forward." Hear more of Don's DevOps advice in our chat with him below.

Virtualization news isn't just for vNerds. On our last Periscope stop, we met up with VMworld newbie and Microsoft Exchange author J. Peter Bruzzese who commented on VMware's effort to take back the cloud with their unified hybrid cloud solution. While some fans on Twitter weren't too pleased by this news, J. Peter explained that this is good for all. Learn more about the war for the cloud in our chat below.
