As you all know, the Pluralsight family is growing very quickly. Three great companies have joined us over the past year and we're doing some amazing things. Pluralsight is now more than a place for training; you can learn something new at Digital-Tutors and Code School and assess your progress with our dynamic assessment engine Smarterer. As the company grows, we'd like to make sure you're in tune with what is going on in each and every part of the business.

Digital-Tutors released 39 new courses in March. Here are a few highlights:

Introduction to Final Cut Pro X

In this Digital-Tutors tutorial, you'll go through the basic layout of Final Cut Pro X and teach you the tools utilized in a commercial edit. By the end of this training, you'll be ready to edit you own commercial and be comfortable editing.

Unity, Source 2, Unreal Engine 4, or CryENGINE – Which Game Engine Should I Choose?

The biggest news coming out of GDC this past month was the immediate availability of free versions of Unity, Unreal Engine and an announcement of a free version to come for the new version of the Source engine. Which is right for your game? The Digital-Tutors team factors all of the latest news into account in this breakdown to help you decide.

Introduction to jQuery for Designers

In this Digital-Tutors tutorial, you'll build on your existing knowledge of JavaScript to tackle learning learn about one of the most popular JavaScript libraries on the web. By the end of this training, you'll be able to use jQuery to build custom animations and improve your site's user experience.

They also launched PixelHub a new podcast, which is intended to bring you more in-depth access to news, interviews, and insights into what's going on in the creative space. Listen to the first episode here.

Smarterer recently made its REST API 100% free. You'll get access to hundreds of the freshest crowdsourced skill assessments, be able to deliver skill tests on a website through an iFrame, pull score data to view, sort and filter scores, and build apps like leaderboards, dashboards, profile pages and more. Give it a whirl.

Code School launched its latest course last week: Try SQL. Dig into databases and learn manipulation skills in this three-level course.
